It was a dream that the Handicap This Team had shared over the past few months. It swirled around inside our heads, finally it settled in our hearts and now it is a reality.
The mystery was, how could we all take our individual
talents and stories and weave them into a complete fabric, how could we do the things we love and use the strengths we possess, to help build on the special powerful concept of community.
Communities can be small groups or large gatherings of people, all across the globe, who when are aligned towards worthy goals and meaningful projects, can become forces to be reckoned with.
It seems as though we all saw this concept of community fading as just another passive collective of souls stuck together waiting to be ignited.
That’s when we realized all that was missing was the spark, all that was lacking was the connectors, the motivators, the inspirationalists, in short these groups just needed a start. That’s where Mike, Tim, Dr. Bob Frank, and myself come in. Sparks are going to fly!
The real beauty of this experience is not that it can happen in 3 hours or 3 days, the time can be flexible, the real power reveals itself in how each individual we share our experience with will be challenged to do better, each person will be given pathways to take their passions and talents further.
The stories all four of us share, the messages we all deliver, and the secrets we all reveal, shine a light on how we can all help each other, how we can all share with each other, how all of us as independent strong individuals, can produce a circuitry of creativity and a culture of community that honors the individual.
How do you start a community uprising? By bringing the Handicap This Team to your schools, businesses, and Organizations.
